worship

I tried to find a fitting adjective to place in the title of this blog before the word "worship", but there is no fitting adjective. I think the video above is simply the definition of the word "worship", no adjective needed.

It comes from a friend, Jonathan Schoonover, who works with orphans and impoverished families in Haiti for a living. The name of the organization he works with is Harvest Field Ministries. He lives in the states, but has been put in charge of coordinating their relief efforts. Needless to say, he is extremely tired. If you would like to follow their efforts or donate to their relief, HERE is the link.

The stories coming from Haiti are literally unimaginable; 99.9% of them, because we cannot imagine the horror of what we are told. But let me share with you one story that is hard to imagine for a totally different reason. It comes from the Haiti Relief Blog I just mentioned...

"We finally made it to Belloc. As we had been told, both the orphanage building (no kids were in there) and the church/school building are a complete loss. Pastor Beauillere and his family escaped unhurt.

Get ready for this...immediately after the quake Pastor Beaulliere went to the field across from the church and started preaching. People just started showing up to listen and 21 people accepted Christ!!! When I arrived yesterday he was carrying buckets of water to fill up a neighbor's cistern so they could baptize all 21 of them."
