on the eve of everything changing...

At some point tomorrow, everything Betsy and I have ever known will be different. And I have no words to describe how it feels knowing that.

There simply is no fitting metaphor. The best I can do is this:

Do you remember that feeling you had as a child when you woke up on Christmas morning hours before your parents did? Do you remember the excitement and anxiety that filled your little body so full that you felt like you could choke on it if you weren't careful? Do you remember lying in the dark, counting down the minutes and the seconds, if for no other reason than to remind yourself that...yes, time was still moving?

Do you remember that?

Now imagine also knowing that as soon as you got your hands on that little present that it was going to change EVERYTHING about you...FOREVER.

Well, this is kind like that. Only totally different.

HAHA. Awesome post. I know you hate typos... third paragraph, first line... second word, you are missing 'You'.

I'm totally expected a text message or pic on my phone if something does show up tomorrow!

Yes, awesome post. I love the Christmas analogy. You've missed something, though. That present you're going to "get your hands on" will also poop on you, wake you up half a dozen times every night, cry when hungry, full, thirsty, tired, bored, injured, or just curious . . . and think you are the coolest guy to ever live. We're very excited for you.

The amazing part is, it only gets better from here!
When my wife and I were married, I didn't think my heart could get any bigger or more full of love. Our daughter arrived and it got bigger and more full. My wife and I have been married for 21 years and have two girls. I am an extremely blessed man with a heart bursting at the seams for each of them.

Congratulations!
