okay, jeph...

if i had a penny for everything i loved about last night's game, i would have many pennies:

a penny for yet another display of no class from Belichick...walking off the field with :01 secong left on the clock.

a penny for the fact that Plaxico Burris predicted a week ago the final score would be 23-17, to which Tom Brady chuckled, "We're only going to score 17 points? OK. Is Plax playing defense? I wish he had said 45-42 and gave us a little credit for scoring more points."" No, Tom. 14. You are only going to score 14.

a penny for just a little vindication for every team the Patriots have cheated against the past 10 years, every woman Tom Brady has knocked up and every woman Randy Moss has knocked down.

and a dollar for the fact that 18-1 is not 19-0. not even close.

I have never enjoyed a super bowl as much as I enjoyed that one. What a classic, classic pimp-slap that was. Belichick and the Pats are just so freaking smug... you could tell when Moss scored that TD that they thought the game was over. It was so classic to see Eli go all Brady on them.

It was awesome to see Brady go down to a Manning for the 2nd straight year.

Jeph, what are your thoughts dude? I bet nobody was loving that more than you... I know how much you hate the Patriots.

Hey, if you guys want to read some good articles, go to the New York Post website. They trash the Pats in almost every article about the game with things like "Belicheck and the rest of the Patriots can take their sorry astericks back home". In most of the articles, they refer to Eli as MVPli. My favorite nugget "Eli Manning shot Tom Brady dead with the whole world watching."

Yeah, I had a few things to say over at my blog. Maybe too much. But you're right. I can't stand the Pats. I actually like Brady, Seau, Vrabel, and Bruschi. But the coach and Moss and Harrison and Samuel and Gaffney...and a few others...I can't stand.

Belichick is simply classless. Even if he wins more super bowls, he'll never redeem himself. Mostly because he thinks he's some sort of untouchable demi-god.

Sorry, Bill, that title retired with Michael Jordan.

Oh, and Eli didn't go all "brady" on them. Brady never had to throw a touchdown to win a post-season game ever. He let Vinateri do all the winning.

Eli went all "Montana", ala Niners vs. Bengals in the 80's.

Brady is no Montana and he's not even a Peyton Manning. Championships are great, but it doesn't prove individual greatness.

agree, agree, agree.

What I probably love the most is the now famous highlight of Eli eluding a almost certain sack to complete a wild throw with an even wilder catch. That play will be shown over and over and over and over and over...and I'll never, ever get tired of it.

It just goes to show, even Jesus' brother has some power from above...

one of those wonderful times when 14-6 is better than 18-1!

Bill, are you the "bearsfan" that commented twice on my site?

bill said...

nope. though i am a bears fan.

jeph,

i just read bearsfans comments. two reasons that i am not bearsfan.

1) my wife does not rub my feet

2) i have been purposely NOT asking the questions he is asking. mostly because i don't want them to ruin how happy i still am that the patriots lost.
