amazing grace indeed

I am often asked why I insist on using a music stand when I lead worship. May I present to you exhibit A (by the way...make sure you watch the whole thing):

...wow. But, as long as he is doing it in true intent, I suppose that part is cool. Ive gone out to sing Heart of Worship and totally lost my words going by memory. I think I was more embarrassed than this guy though.

yeah...he certainly did not seem embarrassed.

do you really think knowing the lyrics would have helped him...I mean, if he had a stand it just would have been louder...

well, let me share with you that at Connection the worship band is call "miracle band", why? because it's really a true miracle that we are singing. None of us are professionals and some Sundays we are not very talented, but we are learning as congregation to just relax and do our best.It was a very funny video!!! but the funniest is that sometimes we sound like that!!! hahaha!!

whew. amen to that, miguel.

there are certain upsides to not video taping your services. i'm sure someone could just as easily get ahold of videotape of any of us and upload it on youtube for all the world to laugh at. lucky for us, it wasn't you or i.

...this time.

I think I just endured the most tortuous video yet. If you wanna sing a song with a mic, know the words and don't torture us by taking off on your own personal version.

What is sad is that the power of the song is the words more than the tune, and he didn't get either right.

maybe thanks for sharing.
